Private cages are now in place inside our meet-me room. As you can see from the photos, a few carrier providers already have their equipment in place, and we are continuing to add more as the meet-me room build moves forward.

November 2, 2009 – Mantrap ConstructionThe construction of our mantrap is underway. When completed, it will feature a multi-factor, five-point authentication system through a combination of keycard use, PIN entry, and an iris scan. All visitors will be required to pass through the mantrap to enter our datacenter and/or view our meet-me room.
October 21, 2009 – Video of Meet-me Room ConstructionOur meet-me room is approaching completion! Take a look at this time-elapsed video showing the installation of ladder racks. Carrier fiber from our cross-connect room runs inside conduit along the racks to the provider partner equipment inside our meet-me room. October 15, 2009 – More Carrier FiberAnother carrier is in our facility. Level (3) Communications pulled fiber into our cross-connect room, joining our other providers. As these photos show, the fiber was brought into the cross-connect room from our meet-me vaults, where it will be put into a protective conduit and run along ladder racks out into the meet-me room.
October 13, 2009 – Pulling Carrier FiberThe first two provider carriers are in Phoenix NAP’s cross-connect room. AGL Networks and AboveNet pulled fiber from our meet-me vaults located near the edge of our property into our facility. As indicated in these photos, AboveNet’s fiber backbone features diverse east and west routes around Phoenix, and our meet-me vaults are configured to support multiple providers.

October 2, 2009 – CRAH UnitsThe service galley adjacent to our meet-me room contains three 80-ton CRAH (computer room air handler) units. When fully engaged, they will provide 240 tons of cooling for our meet-me room and cross-connect room!
October 2, 2009 – Meet-me Room RacksThe inside of our meet-me room is really beginning to take shape. Racks are being installed and construction of the room continues to move along nicely.
