Installing Modular Central Plants

February 16, 2010 – Installation work continues in our equipment yard as we continue to near our spring grand opening. The McQuay Modular Central Plants shown here combine chillers, cooling towers, pumps, piping, and controls in a single pre-engineered, pre-assembled unit.

November 5, 2009 – Chiller Assembly

Just how big is a chiller that provides 720-tons worth of cooling? Take a look for yourself in these pics. The centrifugal chiller being assembled in the photos goes into the McQuay Modular Central Plants that our datacenter will use.

Phoenix NAP will have eight modular central plants providing more than 5,700 tons of cooling.
