New Phoenix NAP blog!

We have recently launched a new Phoenix NAP blog at blog.phoenixnap.com. Give it a look to catch the latest news about the full service data center, or to get some more information on industry-related topics.

The Datacenter Builder blog will remain in place, to focus more on any construction-related activities or expansions.

Security Systems

May 6, 2010 – Datacenter security. Practically all facilities have some level of it, but how much? Take a look at our lobby security station, multi-factor authentication mantrap with door detective technology, even our vascular (vein) scanner, and it starts to become clear. Phoenix NAP security systems are definitely designed to meet next generation needs.

Updating the Online Property

Website Screenshot

April 22, 2010 – Up until now, most of the posts within this blog have centered around construction activity and related images and video footage. With our grand opening approaching, this will continue for a little while yet, but today we shift focus to another sort of property – a Web property.

Earlier this week, our company Web site received a face lift of sorts. A new design was implemented reflective of a premier datacenter, and additional content was added regarding our facility’s security attributes, the services we offer, industry articles that have featured us, video interviews, and information about our preferred partners.

If you have not yet seen the new site, check out PhoenixNAP.com today. In the meantime, here are a few screen captures of it.

Amenities of a Next Generation Datacenter

April 7, 2010 – Part of building a next generation datacenter is incorporating some things many facilities do not feature. Phoenix NAP has several such amenities including catered meals in the Phoenix NAP Cafe, available conference room space that can be reserved and used by clients to conduct meetings, and even office space that clients can lease.

Datacenter Raised-Flooring and Power Alley

March 5, 2010 – The 36-inch raised-flooring is going in our datacenter’s first level, getting the space ready for client racks. Our power alley is also filling up with the PDBs (power distribution boards) that will supply the client racks with the level of power they require.
