New Phoenix NAP blog!We have recently launched a new Phoenix NAP blog at blog.phoenixnap.com. Give it a look to catch the latest news about the full service data center, or to get some more information on industry-related topics. The Datacenter Builder blog will remain in place, to focus more on any construction-related activities or expansions. Phoenix NAP Installs Bollards For Added SecuritySeptember 15, 2011- Update! New bollards were recently installed at the Phoenix NAP data center to enhance our already stringent security measures. Below are a few photographs! Phoenix NAP Installs New GeneratorsAugust 12, 2011- Update! New generators were installed at Phoenix NAP data center in late June. These were put in place to assist in the expansion of Phoenix NAP’s second floor. Here are some great photographs! Adding More UPS ContainersOctober 29, 2010 – As we continue to grow, the demand for more power equipment and additional redundancy is abundant. We recently added two more S&C UPS Battery Containers and the commissioning on both is nearly complete. As you can see, the equipment yard is filling up fast. Adding More PDBsOctober 8, 2010 – With the addition of more client servers, racks and cages to our datacenter floor comes the installation of more power distribution boards (PDBs) in power alley. Each of the PDBs provides roughly 150 kVA out to racks without taking up a lot of valuable floor space, freeing more for servers and cages. Additionally, the design of power alley enables for quick deployment of PDBs as necessary to accommodate for scalability and growth. Phoenix NAP Colocation FloorSeptember 3, 2010 – It has been a while since we posted some photos of the datacenter, and as you can see, our colocation space is beginning to fill up with client racks and cages. We also are distributing power from the PDBs in our power alley, which in turn helps create more available datacenter floor space. WHIR TV InterviewAugust 12, 2010 – At last month’s HostingCon, WHIR TV sat down with Phoenix NAP President Ian McClarty to talk about the datacenter, the current picture and some future plans. Check out the video interview and thanks to WHIR and Liam Eagle for the coverage! Phoenix NAP MultimediaJuly 30, 2010 – In the past Phoenix NAP has provided some innovative ways to see the datacenter without having to travel to Arizona. First, there was Phoenix NAP Interactive, then an Animated Tour was made available, and now there is one more option – Phoenix NAP Multimedia. The new Phoenix NAP Multimedia brings together several photographic images of Phoenix NAP with some information about different areas of the facility in an easy-to-use presentation format. Check it out today! HostingCon 2010July 21, 2010 – Another successful HostingCon is wrapping up … thanks to everyone that stopped by the Phoenix NAP booth! If you were not able to attend the show, here are a few pictures showing some of the exhibition floor and our booth setup.
